5 Tips to Spice Up Your Fitness Routine

5 Tips to Spice Up Your Fitness Routine - Boardgains

We have all been working out but how what if we were to spice this up?

So here are five tips that will help you spice up your fitness routine.

  • Run outside instead of using the treadmill.

Using the treadmill provides a good workout, but going outside and taking a good morning or evening run is better to challenge your body. Running out keeps your mind agile because you will need a lot of focus during that time, and sceneries keep changing, keeping your mind more excited.

  • Instead of running outside, you can go for a swim.

Running is the cheapest and most effective workout you can have in your routine, but the exercise sometimes puts so much pressure on one's joints that it leaves the body sore and swelled up. Swimming can be a great way to spice up your routine as it gives your joints more ease and keeps your body cool. Leaving your mind and body relaxed.

  • Try ariel yoga, instead of basic yoga

The beauty of yoga exercises is having an open mind during practice. So why not opt for other types of yoga, such as aerial yoga, as you continue with your routine. I love aerial yoga because it challenges your mind more to face your fears and trust your instincts more as you hang onto a silky rope in the air. How else will you build your confidence if you stick to on-ground yoga?

  • Try boxing instead of weight training

The pressure from social media got most of us rushing to the gym to get that lean body. Apart from weight training do you know that most gyms offer boxing? You can switch it up mainly because it is an efficient fast-paced aerobic workout that keeps one  energized throughout the exercise.

  •  Zumba is dope but have you tried Nia?

Zumba is a great exercise full of fun, laughter, and too much sweating. But have you ever heard of or tried Nia?  Nia is a tad bit different, where the cardio dances are a mixture of jazz, modern dance moves, martial arts such as Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do, and yoga. Sounds like a good workout don’t you think?

So the next time you want to work out, why don't you switch up a little?
